Taiwan emerges No.1 choice for expats, here are the top ten countries who made the list

As per the data revealed by the Expat Insider 2021 survey, Taiwan, Mexico, and Costa Rica are the best expat destinations worldwide in 2021.

The one common thing about all these destinations is that all of them attract expats with their ease of settling in and good personal finances.

The survey reveals that Taiwan has emerged as reported being the happiest across a broad range of factors including quality of life, career prospects, ease of settling in and satisfaction with life abroad in general. Not a single expat feels personally unsafe here.

Further, the survey mentioned that the Taiwanese healthcare system truly considers people as human beings instead of mere numbers. 96 percent are happy with the quality of medical care here. On making friends, 62 percent said making new friends is easy, while 80 percent are happy with life in general.It has ranked 1st out of 59 destinations for the third year in a row in the Expat Insider 2021 survey.

While Mexico stands at second position out of 59 destinations worldwide, it stands first worldwide for personal happiness. On cost of living 79 percent are happy with the cost of living while 68 percent are happy with the quality of medical care. On making new friends, 77 percent said making new friends is easy, while 89 percent are happy with life in general.One of the US American expat says that “the culture and friendliness of the local people” is their favorite thing about living in Mexico.

Over nine in ten expats describe that in #3 Costa Rica, the population is generally friendly. According to the survey, 70 per cent of respondents are happy with their job, while 69 percent are happy with their work-life balance. As for cost of living, 55 percent are happy with the cost of living, with 83 percent are happy with the quality of medical care. On making friends, 65 percent said making new friends is easy.A US-American expat mentioned that I love the social life and culture in Costa Rica.

While countries such as South Africa (57), Kuwait (59) and Italy (58) are ranked in the bottom 3 of this survey, Russia (56th) and Japan (54th) also joined the list of worst countries for expats.

In the last eight years, Kuwait comes in the last place in the Expat Insider survey for the seventh time (59th out of 59 countries).
