Now you need not face the hassle of standing in a queue to get a Qutub Minar ticket if you buy it online and that too with a discounted price.
As a part of providing superior facility to visitors, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has now started selling tickets online to Delhi’s famous heritage tourism spot of Qutub Minar on its website at a discounted price.
A Rs 40 ticket for Indian tourists after discount comes at price of Rs 35 while for foreigners a Rs 600 tourist ticket now costs Rs 550 if buy online or by scanning the QR code through their mobile cameras.
The Ministry of culture is also planning to extend the discount to all other monuments sonn. Meanwhile,the ministry has decided to illuminate the Qutub Minar from 7pm-11pm with architectural LED at a monthly cost of Rs 16,615 to boost up night tourism.
To enhance the footfall in the evening, visiting times for public entry at Red Fort, Safdarjung Tomb and Humayun’s Tomb have also been extended to 9 pm.
To show up the archaeological brilliance of country’s historical monuments, the Archaeological Survey of India has started the project to illuminate important monuments of Delhi. The illumination of Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Purana Qila and Safdarjung Tomb has already been done. Tughlakabad Fort is also likely to be illuminated soon.
