In response to media reports about reward program for “Dekho Apna Desh Campaign”, the Ministry of Tourism has given a statement saying the ministry has no such scheme to fund the travel expenses of the tourists visiting 15 destinations in the country under this campaign.
Instead,the Ministry proposes to give recognition to select domestic tourists who undertake visit to various tourist destinations in the country through random selection for which details are being finalised.
There has been coverage in the Media that Tourism Ministry would fund the travel expenses for tourists visiting 15 destinations under the Dekho Apna Desh Campaign.
