Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has issued an alert with an advisory to the vacationers to be much careful with a fake website which is running misusing the company’s name. If doing any transactions with this website for reservation, then the passenger are liable. IRCTC will not be accountable for the fraud on this.
IRCTC runs a range of websites. A number of of these websites are
such, on which vacationers book thousands of tickets online on a daily basis. One
of these websites is where vacationers make a booking for a tour package
operated by IRCTC. A forged website is running on this, on which vacationers’
pockets are being cut.As of now, two instances of fraud have come to the IRCTC
and a case has been registered with the police against this.
According to IRCTC, some people run illegal
ticket booking website much alike to the company name, on which people are easily
being cheated. IRCTC made it clear that the company operates only
www.irctctourism.com. The travellers can book their tickets for railway
tours, air tours, hotels and cruise packages this website. The fake website also being operated as
irctctour.com. The most shocking thing is that its voucher resembles the
voucher of IRCTC. The website is using a mobile number 9999999999, landline number 6371526046 and email
id irctctours2020@gmail.com.
IRCTC is also running a strip on its website
warning people that irctctour.com is not an official website. So not to transact
on this website.
