IRCTC Operated Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express, India’s Second Private Train To Start Operations From January 2020

Soon India will get its second private train. The IRCTC operated Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express will begin its operation from January next year. Certainly, a good news for passengers who frequently commute between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The long-awaited second private train of the country is reportedly all set to start operations from the month of January. 

As like India’s first private train, Delhi-Lucknow Tejas express which began its operations in October this year, this train will also offer its passengers world-class comfort and facilities.

The train will be fully air-conditioned with Executive as well as non-Executive coaches. It will have many modern features such as personalised reading lights, comfortable seats, sliding doors, attendant call buttons, automatic entry and exit doors, modular bio-toilets, mobile charging points, CCTV cameras etc.

The new train would likely to start its journey from Ahmedabad Junction railway station at 6.40 am and arrive at Mumbai Central railway station at 1.10 pm. On return, Tejas is likely to depart from Mumbai Central railway station at 3.40 pm and arrive at Ahmedabad Junction railway station at 9.55 pm.

The train will have its halting at Surat and Vadodara stations and will run six days a week.

IRCTC Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express fare is likely to be similar to that of the Shatabdi Express trains. Though, IRCTC has given the liberty to make a decision on ticket prices as like the fare for Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express.
