The Dubai Police
has recently issued a safety advisory for the families not to leave children
alone on the beach and without wearing life jacket to protect them from
drowning.
They took the help of social media to spread the message for all the
beachgoers. The advisory of safety comes as part of an awareness campaign.
“Dear beachgoers, Watch your children at all times and do not allow them to swim alone and without life jacket,” Dubai Police said on its official twitter handle.
Accidents on the beach are one of the regular emergencies in the UAE and can happen to anybody, both young and old.
Some days ago in Umm Al Quwain, an Emirati man who was overcome by strong sea currents was fearlessly saved by an Afgan man from drowning.
Even though the Afghan doesn’t know how to swim, he rushed into the water and could able to pull the Emirati man to safety.
