Traveling is a stress-free activity for all of us while the preparation it requires is mostly messy and often makes many of us forget to carry necessary documents while driving or travelling. To help such inconvenience, the central government has launched a one-stop solution, known as ‘DigiLocker’. Being a part of the government’s Digital India initiative, the service is aimed towards reducing the need to carry physical documents at the time of traveling.
This is a secure cloud-based platform for storage, sharing, and verification of documents and certificates. You can safely upload all your documents on DigiLocker and you needn’t have to carry them physically everywhere.
In the DigiLocker website, you can access your documents by logging into the website mobile app and to download the app on your smart phone, you need to follow some easy steps like :
* At first you have to go to the Google Play Store
* Then on the search bar type ‘DigiLocker’
* On opening of the site, you have to detail the asked information, including your mobile number
* You will receive an OTP on your mobile number thereafter
* After typing the OTP, you will be able to download the app.
Now, you can store your documents here with all safety and these will be accepted as valid identification proof by all three transport systems of – road, railways and airports. So, while travelling, driving or getting to various places you need not always worry about your documents. Important documents like : PAN verification record, driving license, vehicle RC, Aadhaar, educational and other certificates can be stored here in DigiLocker.
