The Delhi Zoo administration has closed the National Zoological Park till 31 March in view of the threat of Coronavirus in Delhi.As said by the Zoo Director Suneesh Buxy, directions have been issued to shut the zoo till March end to arrest the spread of the deadly virus. The zoo witnesses a high number of visitors everyday.
The zoo was closed from 10 am onwards starting Wednesday. Though it was opened for an hour on Wednesday, but soon the government order came in, the people inside it were evacuated and closed, keeping in mind the health of the people.
Earlier on Friday, the Central Zoo Authority had directed all zoos in the country to screen visitors for coronavirus and maintain sanitation measures at entry and exit gates.
