In response to the ongoing crisis caused by the novel coronavirus, organisers of the MICE industry trade shows IT&CM China and CTW China have decided, in the interest, well-being and safety of all valued event delegates and stakeholders, to reschedule the 2020 event to 3-5 August, subject to the recovery and control of the outbreak.
Originally, the co-located events were scheduled for 24 to 26 March in Shanghai, which attract around 3,000 event business professionals from sectors including DMCs, PCOs, corporate travel and associations.
This course of action of deferring mass gatherings is in line with advisories by health and government authorities such as WHO to prevent, contain, and mitigate spread of the virus. Further, as the status of the outbreak is constantly evolving, the postponement of the event is deemed to be the most appropriate step at this juncture point when travel risk to / within China is heightened as health and safety are immediate concerns on the top of everyone’s minds.
Organisers of the annual show TTG and china-based CITS MICE will keep on monitoring the situation closely and bring updates as required.
For delegates and partners who already have confirmed their attendance for this mega event, their respective TTG liaison team will be in touch shortly to review their participation options.
