Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Lokmanya Tilak Express derails near Cuttak, several injured

Over 40 people are reported to be injured after eight coaches of Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Lokmanya Tilak express got derailed this morning around 7 AM as it hit a standing goods train. Injured persons have been shifted to #Cuttack SCB medical. Accident occured between Salagaon and Nergundi. Though details awaited, but fog and invisible signal seems to be the reason behind the accident.

As confirmed by Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of East Coast Railway (ECoR), JP Mishra, there was no report of any casualty in the accident and all passengers are out of danger.

The ECoR has issued helpline numbers 0674-1072 and 0671-1072 for information on the accident and injured passengers.Rescue operations are in progress.
