On Sunday Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur accompanied by his wife Sadhna Thakur met Amitabh Bachchan in Manali. The legendary actor is in Manali these days for the shooting of a film co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
After meeting Amitabh Bachchan, while interacting with media, Thakur said the majestic HP is attracting film-makers, so his government is keenly working on a range of proposals for setting up a film city in the hill state.
Thakur met the legendary Big B in Manali circuit house for over half an hour where he is believed to have discussed the prospect of developing a film city in the state.
The CM said his government would provide all possible support to facilitate the film industry in the state, adding there are several beautiful and ideal locations in the state for shooting films, those needs to be promoted in a large scale.
During conversation with the Chief Minister, Big B said, Himachal have attractive landscapes and people here are very peace loving.
The Chief Minister also honoured the bollywood celebrities Amitabh Bachchan and Ranvir Kapoor with Himachali cap, shawl and mementoes.
