An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 jolted parts of Kutch district of Gujarat on Monday evening, but there was no report of any casualty or damage to property at the moment, officials said.
Bhachau was the epicenter of this earthquake.
As said by an official of the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR), Gandhinagar, the earthquake of magnitude 4.3 was recorded at 7:01 pm in 23 km NNE (North-North-East) of Bhachau in Kutch district. No casualties or damage were reported from this earthquake.Collector M. Nagarajan said that we have not received any information about loss of property or property.
A 2.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded in another part of Kutch on Monday morning at 9:22 am. Earlier on last 19th August, earthquake tremors were also felt in Kutch, Gujarat. The earthquake was recorded at 4.2 on the Richter scale. A devastating earthquake struck Kutch district in January 2001, killing thousands and damaging millions of homes.
