During Oktoberfest celebration in Huntingdon Beach, California, multiple explosions happened at Old World German restaurant on Center Avenue in Saturday night. Authority says multiple people injured due to the fire and electrical explosion. as local media reported.
The authorities responded right
away and the Beach Fire Department sent enough resources to treat up to 30
people after receiving a call of the explosion at 8:10pm local time, but they revised that number after obtaining more
information.
Two firefighters and two civilians were treated for
injuries initially described as relatively minor, Huntington Beach Fire
Department officials said.
The occurrence was first reported as a transformer fire shortly after 8 p.m. at the celebration, centered at Center Avenue and Huntington Village Lane.
Witness Kyle Nelson said he heard and saw three large explosions in
rapid succession emanating from the festival. He managed to catch one of them
on camera. He wasn’t sure what caused the blasts.
Though fire officials say an electrical vault
exploded, but the cause remains under investigation.
