Dubai’s world famous Burj Khalifa was lit up with the colours of the Indian flag on 16th August.The showcase of Indian flag took place at 8.44pm.
Burj Khalifa the world’s largest building usually displays the national flags of friendly countries on their respective Independence days or important occasions. It has also showcased the Indian flag several times in the past. But due to some technical issue in the building,the authorities this time has not been able to display the Indian National flag on 15th of August, making many Indians in Dubai upset as most of them had gathered around the building to enjoy the live moment of the display of Indian flag.
Earlier on Thursday, Navdeep Singh Suri, the Indian ambassador to the UAE. Suri stated that he came to know about the technical snag through his friends in Emaar. He tweeted this message in his official account.
