Fire breaks out at AIIMS Delhi, 34 fire tenders on spot, no casualties reported

A massive fire broke out at the AIIMS,New Delhi  here on Saturday evening and 34 fire tenders were rushed to the site and trying to douse the flames.

Rescue operations are on and no casualties has been reported yet in the blaze. As a fire brigade official said that they received a call of fire in the PC and Teaching Block of the hospital at around 5 PM and fire tenders were immediately rushed to the site.

Former finance minister Arun Jaitley is also admitted at the Intensive Care Unit  of the cardio-neuro centre, housed in a different building in the AIIMS complex.

As per report,the fire has broken out on the first and second floors of a builing in the PC block of AIIMS Delhi. As a precautionary measure, AIIMS has temporarily closed the emergency department which is close to the spot.
