When your travel schedule includes an air travel, one of your major concerns must be the timely arrival and depature of your flight, but apart from that, is there anything else to be more concerning? It might be sitting in a dirty airplane or next to someone who is coughing, sneezing or worse.
At the time you get onto a flight, chances are your airplane has already completed three or four trips, which means three or four other people must have sat on the seat you are supposed to sit, must have touched your side screen, and must have rested their sweaty palms on seat’s armrests. And it’s of no wonder that up to 20 percent of passengers on commercial flights will develop a respiratory infection within a week of flying, as per studies.
So it would be a better option to choose a cleaner airline than to equip yourself with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Not to your worry, Skytrax has recently announced the cleanest airlines of 2018 at the World Airline Award which was based completely on the ratings of the passengers. To judge the cleanliness of the aircrafts, its seats, tables, carpets, cabin panels, and washrooms, everything was taken into account.
Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA), famous for its largest fleet size, has topped the cleanliness rank and Asia-based EVA Air and Asiana Airlines come next to it. Surprisingly any US-based airlines have failed in making their mark in the list of top 10.
Here is the list of the top ten clean airlines:
1. ANA All Nippon Airways
2. EVA Air
3. Asiana Airlines
4. Singapore Airlines
5. Japan Airlines
6. Cathay Pacific Airways
7. Qatar Airways
8. Swiss International AirLines
9. Hainan Airlines
10. Lufthansa
Skytrax awards, known as the Oscars of the aviation industry, takes place every year. It depends on the passenger’s view to rank aircrafts for characteristics like staff and in-flight diversion.
