Autonomous vehicles could be a blessing for any advanced society and Chandigarh is the first Indian city, to be privileged with such facility very soon. A Chandigarh based startup – HAYR Technology, is planning to come up with a new concept of free-float self-drive car share service in the Tri-City : Chandigarh–Mohali– Panchkula, in April 2019. Later it will extend its service to some more Indian cities like Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The new approach will be very very adaptable, convenient, secure and hassle-free for the users.
Mr. Harjeet Singh, the founder of HAYR Technology, said about their new project, “We are introducing a much-required technology in mobility sector. With this, India will be one of the few countries to enjoy free float self-driven car share service. The concept of free-float means, to anywhere anytime pick up and drop off vehicle facility, with assigned parking”.
Anyone having a valid driving licence needs to make a reservation through HAYR Car Share Mobile App to enjoy the service. The customer can simply unlock the car and take a ride.
With free-floating service customers can pick up and return the vehicle anywhere within a certain area and the main advantageous feature of the model is, ‘flexibility’. However this service is mainly used for short one-way (shopping or other leisure) trips in city areas, as an alternative to a taxi.
Nevertheless, this market is booming with the new concept and HAYR Car Share is targeting to serve minimum 25-35 commuters in a day with minimal charges of Rs. 7 per minute, which is a cheaper means of transportation than others.
Carrying the tagline – DRIVE BEFIKAR (drive unperturbed), the company has committed for hassle-free, secure and convenient services to its users, as per which they do not have to worry about refuelling and maintenance cost of the vehicle too. Further the customers can book their rides in advance and there is the least chance of cancellations, assures the company.
Taking women safety as their first priority, the start-up ensures women security during late night. They are allowed to take their ride without fear and trouble of security, and drop the car near their home.
In urban lifestyle, vehicle parking has been an annoying activity always. Considering the fact, HAYR has assigned various locations across the city where customers can park their vehicles comfortably. Most free-floating providers offer small to medium-sized cars, which also ensures relatively easy parking for users.
This car renting service can also be a solution for the irksome traffic problem, said Mr. Singh. Now people don’t have to own private cars for their transportations and get bothered about the maintenance of it, rather they should adopt HAYR Cars and enjoy a carefree life.
