Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) has been declared as the second cleanest among all the major ports in India. The Port received this honour for the third consecutive year.the port was acknowledged on the basis of sanitation parameters which was organised in an independent assessment made by the Union Ministry of Shipping.
While Haldia Port tops the list when the award was first set up, then for the subsequent two years New Mangalore Port bagged the top spot in the rankings including the most recent one.
