Lisbon the spectacular capital city of Portugal is all set to organise this years most significant event for the global travel and tourism industry this evening. The World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2018 will take place at Lisbon’s historic Pátio da Galé today i.e. on 1st December 2018.The leading decision-makers, figureheads and influencers of travel industry from across the globe will attend the gala ceremony.

WTA is at present celebrating its 25th anniversary. The evening will herald its first ever ceremony to be hosted in Lisbon.
The evening will mark the culmination of the WTA Grand Tour 2018 – featuring the winners of WTA’s six regional ceremonies going head-to-head for the coveted World titles. As part of its Grand Tour 2018, WTA has earlier hosted ceremonies in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE), Athens (Greece), Hong Kong, Guayaquil (Ecuador), Jamaica and Durban (South Africa) with the winners progressed to the Grand Final here.
As noted, WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. WTA covers the globe with a series of regional celebrations staged to recognise individual and collective success within each key geographical province each year.WTA gala ceremonies are broadly regarded as the best networking opportunities in the travel industry, attended by travel experts from Government and industry leaders, achievers and international print and broadcast media.
