Proceeding towards Oberalp Pass, the Glacier Express achieves 2,033 meters above ocean level as its most elevated point. Passenger tickets for children between the ages of 6 and 16 are half the adult price and children 5 years old and younger are free.This train is accessible for wheelchair users also.

The entire route is metre gauge (narrow gauge railway).Offering breathtaking and varied panoramic views which covers three cantons of Valais, Uri and Graubünden.With natural picturesque views this pleasurable journey passes through St. Moritz, a luxurious holiday resort in Switzerland, the alpine village of Zermatt with amazing views of the Matterhorn, the Albula Line with the Solis and Landwasser viaduct and circular tunnels, the”Grand Canyon of Switzerland” – Rhine Gorge and Oberalp Pass.

The Glacier Express operates round the year.However,in winter the services minimize with one daily departure that runs from December to May. In summer three trains available on a daily basis in morning hours to discover the lush Alpine view .
