On this travel season Indian Railways innovative attempts to bring a grin for Travellers!

Like every other nations, India too keeps the door of its tourism sector open to adopt new approaches and Indian Railways is no way trailing in this regard. Keeping the travel season in mind, the Indian Railways is offering two interesting concepts to the general public – Saloon cars and Vistadome carriages .

Though some of the foreign countries are already accustomed with such features, for Indian people it is an uplifting news definitely.
In such an activity, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal reported that Indian Railways has chosen to open their renowned saloon cars to the general public. Before that these facilities were available only in some luxury trains and in the long history of Indian Railways, saloons were intended for higher authorities and VIPs.

These saloon cars are featured with two rooms, joined washrooms and a lounge room and the trailing windows offer a tremendous perspective of your adventure. At present, there are 336 saloon cars of which 62 are air-conditioned.

Another energizing news is that the Railway reported to avail the facility of Vistadome coaches on the Kalka-Shimla train. These coaches have glass panels in the roof to serve tourists with all-sided views of the sceneries around.

For the general public satisfaction, Mr.Goyal had proposed the plan on the Kalka Shimla line, a couple of months back.

Goyal said this on tweeter that the Kalka – Shimla Rail, furnished with a Vistadome Coach, ran its first preliminary outing. Travelers would now be able to absorb the pictorial scene with better vision through the glass top roof with the recent change over.

So the tourist destinations are now to become more alluring and the journey itself would be more lavish.
