Roadshows to be organised abroad, says Tourism ministry

For the first time in the history of India, the tourism ministry has decided to organize roadshows in foreign countries using bollywood stars like Amir Khan.The prime object of the scheme would be to promote India in its main markets such as China. KJ Alphones, union minister in an interview said that the revenue collected from the foreign tourists grew 19.2% and the target is to double this in three years and reach $100 billion in five years.

The decision is expected to boost the tourism industry of the country and thereby help increase the annual income.
