Goa : Govt. Offices To Open From 4th Of May

The Goa government has directed that all the offices of the State Government, their Autonomous Bodies to remain open from 4th of May, 2020 as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

On work places, persons those are in charge, are directed to ensure social distancing as per the guidelines both within the work places and in public transport apart from compulsory wearing of face cover in all work places. Provision for thermal scanning, hand wash and sanitizer preferably with touch free mechanism will be made at all entry and exit points and common areas along with adequate hand wash and sanitizer in the work places. It has also directed to make sure frequent sanitization of entire workplace, common facilities and all points which come into human contact e.g. door handles etc., to be ensured, including between shifts.

However, Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below  10 years old shall stay at home, but with the exception to indent essential requirements and for health purposes. It is also mandatory to use Aarogya Setu app by all employees, both private and public. It becomes the responsibility of the Head of the respective Organizations to make sure 100% coverage of this app among the employees.

The announcement also said, to avoid big physical meetings. Hospitals/ clinics in the close areas, which are authorized to treat Covid-19 patients should be identified and a list will be made available at work place all the times.

Employees if showing any symptom of Covid-19 would be immediately sent for check up to such clinics. Quarantine areas should be earmarked for isolating employees showing symptoms till they are safely moved to the medical facilities. A detailed instructions are being issued by Directorate of Health Services in this regard. If personal/ public transport is not possible in a place, then arrangements for transport facilities would be ensured with social distancing.
