A Turkish Airlines flight to Singapore is the most recent to join the havoc that has been created by the Coronavirus outbreak. Reportedly, a Turkish Airlines aircraft(TK54) was returned back to Istanbul without any passengers on board on Thursday after a passenger who had arrived on the same flight on Tuesday tested positive for coronavirus.
As reported, the infected passenger was not of Turkish origin and transited through Istanbul en route to Singapore from another location. There were 143 passengers aboard the flight, as well as three pilots and 10 crew members. The crew, including the pilot, were the only people on-board as the flight took off for Istanbul from Singapore. Though the crew tested negative for Coronavirus in Singapore, they would be quarantined once they land in Istanbul, confirmed by the Turkish Embassy.
Authorities in Singapore are also fast-tracking the other passengers who were aboard the same flight and might have come in contact with the infected passenger during the fight. Turkey has no reported case of Coronavirus as of now while Singapore had 112 confirmed cases. A majority of Coronavirus positive cases have recovered in Singapore and have also been discharged from hospital.
