GOVT STOPS AVAILING FREE SIM CARDS TO FOREIGN TOURISTS

A plan to give free SIM cards to outside travellers touching base in India has been discontinude on the grounds that it was pointless, as said by the tourism secretary, Rashmi Verma. Under the plan propelled a year ago, outside vacationers benefiting e-visas were given pre – activated SIM cards with ₹ 50 talk time and 50 MB data once they touched base in the nation.
