Marriott International’s JW Marriott has debuted with the JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa on Vagaru Island, Shaviyani atoll in the Maldives , located  just 55 minutes via seaplane from the capital of Male.

The spectacular resort features 60 villas, which includes private pools and wooden sunbathing decks. Duplex overwater pool villas and single-story overwater pool villas are set on stilts overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean with a choice of sunrise or sunset views..

The beach pool villas have direct access to white sandy beaches of the private island, while the exceptional split-level duplex beach pool villa is designed to cater to multigenerational families, that features separate lounges, bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate larger groups.

Each single room all across the resort draws inspiration from the natural surroundings and local Maldivian culture, incorporating colors and materials that underline the island destination.
