A massive fire broke out at cricketer Sreesanth’s Kochi residence in Kerala,Family rescued unhurt

A fire broke out at Indian cricketer S Sreesanth’s house in Kochi in Kerala on Saturday morning. At the time of the incident, Sreesanth was not there at home, which led to a panic situation for the family. His wife, children, and domestic helpers those were trapped inside the house were rescued by fire and rescue service team by breaking-in the glass door on the first floor of the house through the stairway.

As reported, , the incident occurred around 2 am on the ground floor of Sreesanth’s  Edapally residence in Kochi ,but no one was injured in the incident. However, a room was entirely destroyed in the massive fire.

On charges of spot-fixing Sreesanth was arrested by the Delhi Police during the 2013 IPL and banned for life by the BCCI, But he later challenged the punishment.

After the ban was overturned earlier this year by the Supreme Court, the BCCI referred the matter to its Ombudsman D K Jain, who, in turn, reduced it to seven years, the sanction period now going to end in 2020.
