Right beside the viewing platform there is a circular trail around the mountain station of the Dachstein glacier cable car which provides the most impressive views of the southern part of the skywalk and some of the loveliest peaks in the Alps. Of the mountain’s 2,995 meters height, you can only reach upto 2,700 metres with this cable car. It takes only 10 minutes to cover 1000 meters distance and offers amazing views on the way.
The Stairway to Nothingness :
This is the latest addition to the spot, a suspension bridge that takes you from the cable car station, with only a vertical wall below your feet. This leads you to a stairway – a way to Nothingness. With its gorgeous view, this is the selfie point of the mountains. So get your cameras ready to capture those rare moments.
Other Attractions of the place :
Along with its viewing platforms tourists can also take a ride on the roof of the gondola, which takes them up or down the 900 metres between the mountain and the valley. Depending on the season and snow conditions snowboarding, skiing, climbing, paragliding and hiking are some of the activities which tourists can go for. At last but not the least, a glance of the Ice Palace where the work of five Chinese ice sculptors is on display is also there to be cherished.
