To Attract More Tourists, UAE Exempts Visa Fee For Travellers Under 18

Dubai tourism, in order to attract more footfalls, has come up with yet another tourist friendly offer by announcing Visa fee exemption for travellers under 18. The offer is for the period of July 15 – September 15, 2019.

The country’s tourism department releasing a statement on this, said, “Between 15 July and 15 September 2019, tourists under the age of 18 years will qualify for visa fee exemption if travelling with their parent(s)on a tourist visa to Dubai.”

While planning for their holidays, most often visa-cost becomes a key deciding factors for families to choose their destinations. To ease such things, Dubai tourism has planned such initiative and says, “This UAE-wide initiative offers great savings for families looking to enjoy Dubai’s host of theme parks, water parks, retail, and other world-class experiences.”

Tourists from all around the world can enjoy this facility and to avail it, they must apply for it in advance via UAE National Carriers or licensed Travel Agencies. And the tourists who are applying for the exemption through hotels, need to “comply” with their reservations.

For the indian tourists, the statement added, “Indian passport holders with a US visa or UK/EU residency visa can also apply online at www.ica.gov.ae.”

Such attempts encourages a healthy competition among the countries, which in turn facilitate their tourism industry at large.

Commenting on the initiative, the Acting Director-General for Foreigners’ Affairs and Ports at ICA – Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi said, “These facilities contribute to support UAE’s competitiveness to pose itself at the top in family tourism by attracting visitors and families from all across the world to enjoy its historical commemoratives, heritage, cultural and entertainment activities and fascinating beaches, along with the world-class hotel and tourist services, and sports, artistic and family events throughout the year.”
