According to a joint statement from US trade representative,Robert Lighthizer and Canada’s foreign affairs minister, Chrystia Freeland ‘ The decision will result in freer markets,fairer trade and robust economic growth in our region”. Now Canada’s dairy market will be further opened for the US producers.The last minute hurry was due to the fact that the Mexico president Enrique Pena leaves office on December 1 so the proceedings had to be completed before it to get his signatures.
