In a heartbreaking incident, a three-year-old boy, named Mohit Ratadiya, of a shepherds family was killed by a leopard in Jambuda village, located in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district on Sunday, as reported by a forest official of the region. It was the late night of Sunday when the leopard insinuated into the tent where the child was sleeping, and took him away. FIR has been lodged at the nearest police station immediately.
As stated by the forest official, “Late at night on Sunday, the leopard approached into the tent set up in an open field where the child and his family members were staying. Having the hunch, the pets of the family, like sheep and goats panicked and started bleating.”
Suspecting something is wrong, when the child’s parents and other adults came outside to watch their animals, the leopard caught hold of the sleeping boy and fled into the forest.
The next morning, the villagers found the half eaten body of the child nearby bushes. Being informed about it, forest and police officials rushed to the spot and later sent the body for post mortem.
