Kerala with its beautiful backwaters and bewitching coastal destinations has dominated the India’s 10 most favourite tourist destinations. 5 of its unique and beautiful sights have occupied places in the list of 10 most welcoming tourist destinations in India. The information has been released by one of the world’s leading digital travel platforms ‘booking.com’ on saturday.
Varkala, Kochi, Thekkady, Alleppy and Mannar of Kerala are in the list according to the 2018 guest review awards, as said by Ritu Mehrotra, Booking.com’s Country Manager to India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. He added in the seventh edition of the awards, a total of 6,125 accommodation providers in India were included. The category, size and location of the destinations, were not the only judging criteria, but the places, which the tourists had found to be attractive, were also taken into consideration.
As said by Ritu Mehrotra, “Despite the type, size or location of the property, our utmost priority is to value the human connection with the destinations when our customers visit places,”
Going with the ratings,India is ranked as the 29th most welcoming country on the planet while Switzerland ranked at 30th, China at 40th and Malaysia is at 45th.
