Ukraine brings an end to visa on arrival facility for Indians from January 1, 2019

Ukraine has recently made a change in its  legislation on visa policy. From 1st January 2019 onwards foreign nationals including Indian nationals will no longer avail the visa on arrival facility to this country.

 

The new decree no. 954 dated 14.11.2018 of the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine, has  amended  the visa rule issuance to enter  its soil and the transit guidelines have been modified.It reveals  , the visa on arrival facility for foreign citizens including Indians will no longer be available with effective from 1st Jan 2019.Indian nationals those have planned  to get  the visa-on- arrival facility to Ukraine after 31.12.2018 may be noted  this amendments  and must take proper visa from Embassy of Ukraine before they begin their  journey to Ukraine.

 

but according to the new declaration  some foreigners coming to the country will be able to buy an electronic visa in advance through the e-visa system, At present, citizens from  31 countries can buy 15-day tourist and business visas on arrival in Ukraine including Indians. They, plus nationals from 13 more countries (44 in total), can also get an electronic visa in advance by means of Ukraine’s e-visa system that was  launched in April 2018.
