An American tourist has got emotional as he is re-united with his 10,000 dollars – that he forgot on the backseat of an airport taxi in Thailand earlier this month. Being overwhelmed he said, “I can’t believe my luck.” Before this, the panicked tourist had to cancel his flight to home.
On 4th December morning, Jerry Hart, 47, was on his way to home in USA and caught a cab for the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. Before getting down, he forgot his small white neck bag on the passenger seat of the cab. After realising that his large sum money was missing, he startled and had to cancel his flight. Immediately he filed a police complaint and spent the next few hours working with police to find it.
On the other side, the taxi driver Veeraphol Klamsiri, 57, was shocked while cleaning his car and found the cash inside an envelope with ‘9,800 US Dollars’. Honest Veeraphol reported in his local office, who contacted the police on his behalf to drive back to the airport and hand over the money to its actual owner, Jerry.
Being highly relaxed, Jerry a former American police officer said, “I didn’t think I would see the money again. I’m very happy. I can’t believe my luck and I am very grateful to the honesty of the cab driver. Earlier I’ve been to Thailand on vacation a couple of times and I’ve been considering moving here after retirement. This has decided for me. I’m unquestionably returning here to live.”
