As India entered the 25th day of the lockdown, the total number of COVID19 cases in India crosses the 14000 mark. 991 fresh COVID-19 Cases, with 43 deaths reported in last 24 hrs
Currently the total number of cases reached at 14,400.The states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Delhi have been the worst effected with over 1000 deaths each.
An overview of the COVID-19 cases in states shows that Delhi ranks high on number of cases per million, followed by Maharashtra and Telangana.
Global COVID-19 deaths surpassed 150,000 with over 2.2 million infections on Friday. US suffered the most casualties at 36,773, the highest in the world as the overall cases surpasses 7 lakhs, reached 700,282. Meanwhile, Italy recorded 22,745 deaths. That marked an increase of 3,856 deaths in the past 24 hours, but that figure likely includes “probable” virus-linked deaths, which had not previously been counted.
Spain has recorded 19,478 deaths, followed by France with 18,681.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump on Friday announced USD 19 billion relief to the farmers amid coronavirus pandemic. Trump apprised that USD 16 billion will be used for direct payments to farmers and USD 3 billion in purchases of food for distribution.
