Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to West Bengal
CM Mamata Banerjee and assured her all help. Taking to Twitter, the
prime minister said, “Reviewed the situation in the wake of cyclone conditions
and heavy rain in parts of Eastern India. Spoke to WB CM @MamataOfficial
regarding the situation arising due to Cyclone Bulbul. Assured all possible
assistance from the Centre. I pray for everyone’s safety and well-being”, he

A number of airlines have suspended flights and issued a travel advisory informing air travellers about likely delay and suspension of flights for Cylone ‘Bulbul’, which made landfall in Odisha and West Bengal late on Saturday before heading to Bangladesh today morning.
Private carriers IndiGo, Spicejet, Air Asia have suspended all flight operations to and from Kolkata after the IMD warning about the Cyclone Bulbul.
Indigo,said in a statement, “Due to cyclone Bulbul, all flight operations to and from Kolkata been suspended from today 6.00 pm to 6.00 am on Sunday”.
The carrier also said it will waive cancellation and rescheduling fee for flights to and from Kolkata on both Saturday and Sunday.
SpiceJet made a statement in its official twitter handle, it will offer full refund and waive cancellation or “change fee” for all flight to and from Kolkata till Sunday.
