Veteran actor Viju Khote, younger brother of veteran actress Shubha Khote has passed away at the age of 78 early morning today. He is best known for playing the role of ‘Kaalia’ in Amitabh Bachchan & Dharmendra’s cult film ‘Sholay’. The veteran actor who is also a big name in the Marathi film industry, breathed his last at his home in Mumbai.
In the year 1964,the talented actor made his film debut with ‘Ya Malak’ and went on to feature in various popular films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Qurbani’, ‘Karz’ among others. In his entire career of acting, Viju Khote has over 300 Hindi as well as Marathi films to his credit.
Besides film industry, Viju Khote has been a part of TV shows
as well and best remembered for his role in ‘Zabaan Sambhalke’.
Viju Khote was last seen in 2018 film ‘Jaane Kyun De Yaaron’.
