Keeping people’s religious recreations in mind, IRCTC, the tourism wing of Indian Railways is going to run a special tourist train – ‘Shri Ramayana Express’. The train is associated with the story of Lord Ram from the famous Indian epic Ramayana.
Celebrating its previous year’s success, this year Shri Ramayana Express will start from Delhi on 3rd November 2019.
The 16 days journey of Sri Ramayan Express will make its tourists visit all important destinations associated with the life of Lord Shri Ram, which will include destinations in the countries of India as well as Sri Lanka.
If anyone is interested for a Sri Lanka tour can go for it with an additional charge. Under this package, 40 tourists will be able to take a flight to Sri Lanka.

With a maximum capacity of 800 passengers, Shri Ramayana Express will start from Delhi, and its first halt will be in Ayodhya. Proceeding towards Hanuman Garhi, Ramkot and Kanak Bhawan temples, the train will cover various interesting sites of the Ramayana circuit including Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayag, Shringpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi and Rameswaram in Tamilnadu.
In this all inclusive tour package tourists will be facilitated with 3-times meals per day, accommodation and wash and change facilities in dharmashalas, all transfers, sight-seeing arrangements and dedicated tour managers of IRCTC who will be there with them during the entire tour.
IRCTC’s this particular package will cost Rs 16,065 per person. And who are interested for the Sri Lanka tour, will have to pay the fare of Rs 36,950.
To visit Sri Lanka, frequent flight services are there from Chennai to Colombo. For a5 nights and 6 days stay in Sri Lanka will cost a sum of Rs 55,000 per person. The Sri Lanka tour will cover four popular destinations of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo, and Negombo.
