Bullet Train In Japan Travelled At 280kph Left With Door Opened After Cleaner Forgot To Close It

In the rarest of incidents, a Japanese bullet train moving at 280kph was forced to make an emergency stop after being found one its doors is left wide open !

The super-fast train was on its journey from Sendai, when the alarming incident occurred. Sendai is a city in Japan sited towards the northeast of the capital Tokyo. 

The train was bought to a sudden stop inside a tunnel in Shibata by the conductor of the Hayabusa No 46, after being noticed one of the carriage doors was completely open.

The East Japan Railway Company, who operators  ‘shinkansen’ bullet train, in its statement said, a cleaner had forgotten to press close on a device that opens and closes the door.

Luckily of all the 340 passengers no one was hurt and all of them completed their journey successfully. The speeding train’s door was left opened for 40 seconds and at that time no one is  standing near it. 

Japanese rail network, has earned a special name worldwide for its efficiency and punctuality. Lining with it shinkansen is not a difference. Safety incidents like this  though are rare on Japanese trains, have surely raised concern of the administrators.

Japan’s transport ministry warned its railway company to take measures and to stay careful so that such incidents will not happen again.
