An explosion at a mosque during Friday prayers in Pakistan’s Balochistan province killed at least five persons and injuring 15 others, police and local media reported.
The explosion took place in the main hall of a Mosque in suburban Kuchlak town of Quetta, the capital of southwestern Balochistan province.
Officials presume the blast was carried out with an improvised explosive device (IED) which contained around eight to 10 kilograms of explosives,planted inside the mosque, the report said.
Rescue operation is in progress and security forces have also cordoned off the area.So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
