UAE to give visa-on-arrival to Indian passport holders

Visiting the United Arab Emirates for those with family and friends back home in India, could be a hassle free process if they are already residency visa holders of the UK or the European Union.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has issued a reminder to residents that may wish to bring family members and friends on a visit to the UAE, as reported.

Earlier this week, a video that is uploaded to GDRFA’s social networking sites states: “Indian citizens holding  valid passports with visas of UK and EU countries can access entry permits on all UAE entry points, provided that the validity of their residence visa – issued by the UK or the European Union -is not less than six months.”
On submitting the service fees of Dh100 and Dh20, Indian passengers can obtain their entry permits for which they have to approach the Merchant Service Counter and continue on Passport C.
The maximum period of stay in the United Arab Emirates is 14 days and it can be extended once with the renewal fees of Dh250 and Dh20. On expansion, passengers can stay for an additional 28 days.
