Pacific Asian Travel Association(PATA) has conferred three gold awards to Kerala tourism for the categories of – ‘Women empowerment’, best tourism website and best advertising campaign.
Kerala’s ethnic restaurant at Kumarakom has brought the first gold award for the state tourism. Its efforts in responsible tourism mission to empower women in Kumarakom, including Kumarakom Samrudhi Ethnic Food restaurant, played a major role in this.
To promote tourism, the department set a number of Women’s art groups and with the Samrudhi Ethnic restaurant in Kumarakom the state’s local cuisine got well campaigned, while engaging women in environment-friendly works. All the above factors have contributed for the gold award in the ‘women empowerment’ category.
Making its mark among all, the second gold award went to Kerala tourism’s website, which was considered as the best one. www.keralatouirsm.org was proclaimed as the best website in the segment with respect to the marketing category.
The third gold award was for the best advertising campaign of Kerala tourism travel advertisement broadcast media segment ‘Come Out and Play’. The champaign was superbly designed by the Stark Communications.
All the winners got selected by an independent judging committee. With 197 entries from 78 organisations and individuals worldwide, this year’s PATA award was a memorable one.
Founded in 1951, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is the largest travel promotional organization in the world. It is designed to promote travel and tourism to and within the Pacific region.
The 2019 PATA Gold Awards Dinner and Award Presentation is going to take place in Nur-Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan on Thursday, September 19 during PATA Travel Mart 2019.
