Nature Here With Verdant Colours ! World’s Stunning Naturally Green Sea- Beaches

Sea beaches are the ideal destinations for holiday makers craving for serenity and when some uniqueness added to it the fun just wouldn’t have any limit. If you are an ardent lover of the vivid colour of the nature, here is the list of some incredible green sand shores for your next bucket list. There are exactly four such beaches in the entire world.

Some may find the scene a little strange, but the fact behind this geographical amusement is that the grains of naturally green sand contain crystalline particles called olivine — a heavy green silicate that’s not easily washed out to sea, resulting in the ocean-front beaches with a verdant hue.

Such varied destinations are found at Hawaii, Guam, Ecuador and Norway which offer a very different kind of beach experience.

* Hawaii’s Papakolea Beach :
Papakolea Beach is located near the southernmost point in the United States (South Point) on Hawaii’s Big Island. This stunnig green beach lies at the mouth of a bay on the site of a volcanic eruption that was expected being formed some 49,000 years ago. It can be accessed only by a vigorous downhill hike. The sand grains of the beach are almost pure olivine, with shades of green across the color spectrum. This olivine came from ancient lava flows from Puu Mahana.

* Guam’s Talofofo Beach :
The same Olivine is also responsible for the greenish sands found at Talofofo Beach on the Pacific island of Guam. The Beach is also regarded as one of Guam’s best surfing spots, and the encompassing limestone cliffs make the spot Instagramable. But the beach’s green sands are only noticeable during ideal sun and weather conditions.

* Ecuador’s Punta Cormorant :
Known as world’s most isolated and rare destinations,  Galápagos Islands have their own uniqueness. Resulted by volcanic erruptions, the islands host a number of endemic species, that are pretty rare. And on the island of Floreana at Punta Cormorant is a beach that’s radiantly green. Apart from its Olivine crystals from nearby volcanic sites,  stingrays and sea turtles are its added attraction too.

Norway’s Hornindalsvatnet :
Despite being an European cold country Norway has the honor of  holding the site of  greenest sand beach. But Lake Hornindalsvatnet’s shores are one of the only places on Earth where naturally green sands can be found. This rare phenomenon is the result of glacial movements thousands of years ago, this fjord lake is filled with green mineral deposits left behind.
