An earthquake struck Jammu and Kashmir late on Tuesday, measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale . As per reports, its tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR as well as in Pakistan’s Islamabad. On Tuesday, 5th Feb, at around 10:20 pm, the earthquake activity took place and continued for around 40 seconds apparently.
According to sources, the epicenter of the seismic tremor was situated at a profundity of 40 kms in northwestern Kashmir, i.e. about 118 kilometers from Srinagar. As explained by the eyewitnesses, kept going on for several seconds, the quake, scared the people making them surged out of their homes, . Fortunately, there have been no reports of any casualties or damages due to the quake, so far, said the report.
