According to the Meteorological Department, the state of Himachal Pradesh is yet to receive some more snowfalls and the cold wave may return to the state once again. It may lower the temperarure in most areas from January 27. Dense fog is expected in the next two to three days and light drizzling on January 25, in some places of the state has also been predicted, due to the western disturbances.
The overnight snowfall on the higher reaches of the state has reduced the temperature of several districts. Karnal recorded minimum temperature of 5.4 degrees Celsius and Hisar is at 6.8 degrees Celsius. The snowfall intensifies the cold wave conditions of six more districts in Himachal Pradesh whose minimum temperature of remained in minus on Wednesday.
Shimla’s minimum temperature was recorded at -0.2 and heavy snowfall on Tuesday, resulted in blocking of 490 roads on the next day. Because of this, many HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) routes have been affected. Tourist along with the locals have suffered the inconveniences due to this. According to the Weather Department, in coming days at the high altitude areas of the state, snowfalls and showers are expected.
So the tourists, especially who are traveling with their kids, should take beforehand precautions and get ready with their warm clothes since a sudden exposure to cold can raise health issues. They are advised to get latest updates on the weather conditions from their hotels and arrange their trips accordingly.
