Comes new year,Indian railway will have a gift for its commuters. From 1st January onwards rail passengers will get vegetarian and non-vegetarian food for just Rs 50 and Rs 55 respectively in the Patna-Kota express. The food will be available at the ‘Jan Ahaar’ counters at the railway junction. This new customer-friendly plan has been kicked off after the railway authority received several complaints against the excessive pricing of the food practice by contractors inside the train.
It came to notice by the complaints that the food that is easily accessible outside the train for jusr Rs 50 is priced for Rs 90 to Rs 140 inside the train. That’s why, IRCTC, has taken a decision to act appropriately resulting in favour of the passengers. According to a report, the catering supervisor inside the train will keep an eye on the food quality the passengers complain about.
To find a solution out for this issue during travelling, catering supervisors has been appointed by the IRCTC in various leading trains of East-Centrl Railway. Sampoorn Kranti Express, Rajdhani, Sapt Kranti Express, Patna-Kota, Shramjivi, Bihar Sampark Kranti, Vaishali express etc have catering supervisors.
Soon such service will be made available in all trains . “Food in Patna-Kota express will be served for Rs 50-55. Most appreciably the complaints concerning the food will be solved during the journey itself. Notably all the express trains will soon have the supervisors.” As reported by Rajesh Kumar, regional manager, IRCTC.
