With an objective to strengthen the bilateral relationship in the field of tourism,Ministry of tourism India has signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) with the ministry of Culture,sports and tourism,Republic of Korea earlier this month.
The MoU envisages expansion of bilateral tourism sector, more exchange of data and informations related to tourism, encourage assistance between the tourism stakeholders including hotels and tour operators and set up exchange programs for cooperation in HR development, persuade investment in tourism sector,exchange visit of tour operators and media people for promotion of tourism at both the sides and also invite participation of tour operators in travel fairs and exhibitions in each others country.
As per report, Republic of Korea in East Asia is one of the major tourist generating market for India .As per the statistics, 1,42,383 travellers from Korea have grounded in India last year and in the course of January-September the transitional of tourists arrival was 1,08,901. So signing the memorandum of understanding(MoU) with Korea will certainly be instrumental expanding tourists landing on the home ground.
