Indian tourists arrival to Greece doubles this Year:GNTO

Greece has registered a hike of 119 percent Indian tourists on its ground in the last nine months. According to the data provided by Greece National Tourist Office (GNTO) and Athens International Airport, 38,046 Indians have visited Greece from January to September this year  as compared to 17,376 visitors in the same period last year . This growth is truly incredible.

Konstantinos Tsegas, Secretary General, Greek National Tourism Organization commenting on its positive development said, “Greece as a  tourist goal has picked up energy throughout the years and we are happy to observe the rising enthusiasm of Indians for Greece as their favoured tourist destination. Our goal is to focus on  meeting the travellers needs of all most all age groups.  We have adequately utilized different stages, in view of particular attributes of the Indian market. The system is to likewise improve the travel industry  to welcome guests not in any particular season but all through the year in Greece and make them aware about lesser known urban communities of Greece like Thessaloniki, Xanthi or Kavala which have extraordinary geophysical and social significance alongside Athens. We are firmly working with our accomplices in India for development across the segments such as  families, FITS (first time travellers segments), MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and events), weddings destinations,  honeymooner’s point and movies.”
