‘’Make in Odisha Conclave 2018’’one of the largest investor meet of India is taking place on full swing in Bhubaneswar,the state capital of Odisha.Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr Naveen Patnaik,inaugurated the summit. The five-day event will wrap up on Thursday, November 15.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador to India Mr Kenji Hiramatsu,Japan is incidentally the country partner of Make in Odisha Conclave this year. Other dignitaries present were the big captains of business and Industry.Mr Mukesh Ambani, Chairman & Managing Director, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL); Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla Chairman, Aditya Birla Group; Mr Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Resources Plc; Mr Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons; Mr William P. Davis, Exxon Mobile; Mr T.K Chand, Chairman, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO); Mr Satish Pai, CEO, Hindalco; Mr Ritesh Agarwal, CEO,OYO Rooms; Mr Anil Kumar, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL); Mr Sajjan Jindal, MD, JSW Group; Mr Sanjiv Puri, MD, ITC; Mr Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel.Also present are Mr Rajnish Kumar, Chairman, State Bank of India (SBI), MR Ananta Das, Minister for Industries, Government of Odisha; Mr Aditya Prasad, Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha; Mr Sanjeev Chopra, Principal Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Odisha among other senior Government officials and delegates from several countries.
When sharing his thoughts on partnering with Odisha Sanjiv Puri ,the Managing Director of FMCG giant ITC Limited reiterated his commitment for socioeconomic development of the state and praised Odisha for its Investment friendly policies, good governance, robust infrastructure, mineral and agriculture resources and access to other markets that made the state a complete investment destination.
According to him, the state is a vibrant, dynamic and preferred investment destination.
He unveiled two of his flagship projects that are to be operational soon.
ITC’S luxury hotel under “WelcomHotels” brand in Odisha will be ready to greet its guests by end of next calendar year.He said its hotel, once operational, will add to Odisha’s “vibrant tourism” landscape. The hotel project has been estimated at Rs 135 crore. Odisha has enormous tourism and business prospective which can be well boosted by the launching of the five-star facility of ITC brand in Bhubaneswar.
ITC consumer goods manufacturing facility will also be commencing operations from next year.It will start manufacturing of some of its foods brands like ‘Aashirvaad’, ‘Sunfeast’, ‘YiPPee!’ and ‘Bingo!’ in the integrated unit in Khurda.
