Started in 2015,the fourth edition of the five day long International Sand Art Festival is all set to be organized this year at the sandy beach of Chandrabhaga in Odisha from 1st to 5th december.This is coinciding with the world famous Konark Festival to be held at Open Air Auditorium with backdrop of Konark Sun temple just 3 kilomters away from this sight. The purpose of this festive event organizing by Odisha Tourism is to give sand art a bigger platform internationally, highlighting Odisha in global tourism map and to pull tourists within and outside the country.Competitions among sand artists are also in the schedule where the best sand art will be awarded with a cash prize of One Lakh rupees.
Odisha Tourism Development Corporation(OTDC) is arranging a handsome tour package for the tourists to witness the Konark Sun temple,Konark festival and International Sand Art festival where the picking point is from Bhubaneswar. One time tea,snacks and dinner is included in that package.Similar package is also arranged from Puri back to Puri by OTDC to take the pleasure of both the festivals and world famous Konark temple.
Padma shree awardist and famous Odisha sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik is the brand Ambassador of this International Sand Art Event.
